Home to the legendary Sherpas and Mt. Sagarmatha is popularly known as Mt. Everest, The Everest region in Nepal offers some exciting trekking trails. The lower elevations up to around 3,000m/9,843ft are forest and jungle trails where the occasional and typical Nepalese cable hang bridges need to be crossed. Higher elevations turn into tundra and barren rock valleys where those iconic snowcapped Himalayan mountains stand.
Your adventure starts with a trek to EBC, the short version of Everest Base Camp. During this trek to base camp, you’ll quickly get used to the terrain and trails. Because the risk of Acute Mountain Sickness, or AMS is real High Route Adventure has planned two acclimatization days during the Everest Base Camp trek with Lobuche East Peak climbing. Once in Namche Bazaar also known as the biggest Sherpa settlement of the Khumbu region and once at Dingboche.
During both acclimatization days, a hiking trip is planned to get used to the higher altitudes. Once you reach Everest Base Camp, you can see the world’s highest glacier called the Khumbu Glacier stretching for twelve kilometers! The next morning a sunrise view trip is organized early in the morning up to Kala Pathar. The views from here are absolutely breathtaking!
It’s also on this day that the Everest Base Camp trek with Lobuche East Peak climbing takes a different path than the normal EBC trek or Everest Base Camp trek. High Route Adventure takes you to Lobuche Base Camp, then to High Camp, and ultimately to the summit of Lobuche’s East Peak at 6,119m/20,076ft! As a final highlight of the Everest Base Camp trek with Lobuche East Peak climbing, the views are incredible and unforgettable.
