Pisang Peak Climbing – Hannah Brenner, Germany

Standing on the summit ridge of Pisang Peak at sunrise was a moment I will carry with me for the rest of my life. The final push across the glacier before dawn was demanding, with the cold biting through every layer, but the guides kept our pace steady and our spirits high. When the light finally broke over the Annapurna range, spilling gold across the snow, every ache in my legs simply disappeared.

What impressed me most was how well-organized the entire trip felt from the very first day in Kathmandu to the descent back into Pisang village. The acclimatization schedule was sensible, the camp food was surprisingly hearty, and the crew treated every member of our group like family. I came to Nepal chasing a mountain and left with a deep respect for the people who call it home.
