Cho Oyu Expedition Review By Matteo, Italy
Climbing Cho Oyu from the Tibet side had been a dream of mine for many years. The entire Cho Oyu Expedition was challenging, rewarding, and very well organized. From the Tibetan Base Camp to the higher camps, every stage required patience, physical strength, and careful acclimatization.
The Northwest Ridge route offered incredible Himalayan scenery and a serious high-altitude climbing experience. The gradual acclimatization schedule helped me adjust to the extreme altitude before the summit push. Our climbing team received good support with logistics, camp arrangements, meals, and safety throughout the expedition.
The summit day was the toughest part of the climb. The high altitude and long hours tested my endurance, but reaching the summit of Cho Oyu at 8,188 meters was an unforgettable achievement. I am grateful to the entire team for their professional support and careful planning. This Cho Oyu Expedition from Tibet was truly one of the most remarkable experiences of my mountaineering journey.
