Kanchenjunga Circuit trek review by Robert

I’ve trekked the Everest and Annapurna regions, but Kanchenjunga is on a different level of dramatic. The sheer scale of the North and South base camps is impossible to capture in a photo. You are standing face-to-face with the third-highest mountain in the world, and it feels like it’s leaning over you. The light hitting the Jannu Glacier at sunrise turned the mountain a shade of violet I didn’t know existed. If you’re a photographer, bring extra batteries and plenty of memory cards. You will be stopping every five minutes to try—and fail—to capture the enormity of this landscape.
