Annapurna Circuit with Tilicho Lake Review by Aisha, Kazakhstan
If you want a challenge, this is it. The trek to Tilicho Lake is rugged, raw, and at times a bit nerve-wracking—the landslide area is no joke—but that’s exactly why you come here. It’s a true expedition feel. We had days of pure sunshine and evenings where the clouds rolled in heavy with snow, which only added to the thrill of the ascent. Crossing the Thorong La Pass at 5,416m was the hardest thing I’ve ever done, but it’s the kind of ‘Type 2’ fun that you brag about for the rest of your life. Highly recommend going with a guide who knows the terrain well; it makes all the difference.
