Ghorepani Poonhill Trek review by Molly Atkinson, New Zealeand
I had limited time in Nepal and wanted an authentic mountain experience without being on the trail for weeks. Ghorepani Poon Hill was the perfect choice. What I loved most wasn’t just the panoramic views, but the incredible cultural immersion. The route winds through traditional villages where you get to interact with the local people, see their daily lives, and experience the warm hospitality of the mountain folk.
The trek is well-managed, the trails are clearly marked, and the accommodations were far more comfortable than I expected. The climb is manageable for anyone with a decent level of fitness, and the sense of accomplishment you feel when you reach Poon Hill is unmatched. If you want to experience the magic of the Annapurnas, connect with nature, and get those iconic ‘bucket list’ mountain photos, do not hesitate to book this trek. It’s a classic for a reason
