My partner and I did this trek as an alternative to the busier Langtang Valley trek, and it was the perfect decision. It’s physically challenging enough to feel like you’ve earned your dinner, but it’s much more manageable than the high-altitude slogs in other regions. We loved the hot springs at Tatopani—there is nothing better than soaking your sore legs in natural thermal water after a day of hiking! The architecture in the villages, with the beautiful wooden carvings, is stunning and very unique to this region. It’s a culturally rich, scenic, and very rewarding trek that doesn’t require you to be an Olympic athlete or a mountaineer. A truly underrated route that deserves way more attention
