Manaslu Circuit Trek Review by Adam Parore, New Zealand
I chose the Manaslu Circuit specifically for the unique blend of cultural immersion and ‘off-the-beaten-path’ solitude, and it exceeded every expectation. The trail is beautifully maintained but still feels wild. What made this trek stand out for me was the daily rhythm—waking up to the view of Mt. Manaslu, the incredible hospitality at the local teahouses, and the fascinating history of the Nupri region that our guide shared with us. While the trek requires a good level of fitness, the pace was perfect for acclimatization. If you want to see the ‘real’ Nepal without the constant flow of tour groups, this is the trail to pick. Just be prepared for basic teahouse comfort; it’s part of the charm and makes the hot bowls of dal bhat taste so much better
