During the Classical Nepal tour, you’ll journey across Nepal in a 10 days tour package specially designed by High Route Adventure. The Classical Nepal tour starts in Kathmandu with sightseeing of the capital’s most famous cultural sites. They are the famous monkey temple of Swaymabunath, the old palace square of Kathmandu also known as Kathmandu’s Durbar Square, the mighty and huge white stupa of Boudhanath, and the Hindu temple Pashupatinath which is said to house a part of Shiva’s trident! Having enjoyed the cultural marvels of Kathmandu.
The Classical Nepal tour continues to the wild jungles of Chitwan’s National Park, Sauraha. UNESCO World Heritage-listed Chitwan National park as a World Heritage Site in 1984. This amazing and well-protected jungle is the last refuge and home to some of the most endangered animals on the planet. The one-horned rhino, the Bengal tiger, and the Asian elephant all make their home here, and during your visit, you’ll get a chance to spot them during an exciting jungle safari. Uniquely is also the difference in culture between the highlands of Kathmandu and the flatlands of Terrai where the Chitwan National Park is. During your jungle safari, you’ll get to see the Tharu culture via shows, handicrafts, village visits, and museums.
The Classical Nepal tour continues to a medieval hill station town called Bandipur. Filled with charming restaurants and cozy hotels/teahouses Bandipur is located just beneath a viewpoint overseeing the entire valley. After spending the night in this medieval Nepali village your journey with High Route Adventure continues to Pokhara. This city, also named Nepal’s paradise city is located just on the banks of Phewa Lake. Used as the gateway into the southern Annapurna region, Pokhara is also surrounded by white snow-capped Himalayas and overlooked by the iconic Fishtail Mountain, Mt Machhapuchhare. With so much to do in this incredible city, from hiking, paragliding, rafting, bungee jumping, zip-lining, and many more, we start a walk on the shores of Phewa Lake, filled with bars, BBQ restaurants, and karaoke bars this is the place to be, especially during the evening.
The next day we head via boat over Phewa Lake and hike up to see the legendary World Peace Shanti Stupa, one out of two World Peace Stupas in Nepal. The afternoon will be held with sightseeing and visiting the famous Davis Fall waterfall and the cave that runs beneath it.
