No more Invitation Letters and Quarantine for on Arrival Visa In Nepal (1 October, 2021 Updated!)
Government of Nepal has now decided to make invitation letter and quarantine not mandatory considering the trekking and climbing season 2021. Before September 25, foreigners should have issued visa invitation letter from an authorized trekking agencies to get on arrival visa in Nepal. Now, visitors can get on arrival visa of Nepal at Tribhuvan International Airport, Kathmandu by submitting some required documents including Vaccination Proof, PCR Report (Negative report prior to 72 hrs before the flight to Kathmandu) etc.
Here is a list of required documents that a travelers must submit to get on arrival visa in Nepal:
- CCMC Form Fill up
- PCR Report (Negative report 72 hrs prior to the flight to Kathmandu)
- Vaccination Certificate
- A copy passport
- Hotel Reservation Proof
- Travel Insurance

CCMC Form Fill Up
CCMC stands for Covid 19 Crisis Management Center which keeps records of the travelers who are travelling in or out of Nepal as to ensure the covid 19 conditions among the travelers. So, every travelers must fill up their details on CCMC Form.
PCR Report
A traveler must provide a proof of negative PCR report which must be 72 hrs prior to the Kathmandu flight.
Vaccination Certificate
It is mandatory for the visitors to bring vaccination report to get on arrival visa in Nepal. Keep in mind the the travelers must be fully vaccinated.
(Note: The one who is not vaccinated must stay 10 days’ hotel quarantine.)
Hotel Reservation Proof
You must have prebooked your hotel before you arrive at Kathmandu. 2 nights hotel booking is mandatory rules from Nepal Tourism Board.
Travel Insurance
As always, travel insurance is a must document while you are travelling to Nepal as it will save your travel investment in case of any unfortunate happenings.
Note: Remember, travellers can only get the trekking permits/TIMS card by a trekking agency. So, they must go through a trekking agency to issue TIMS card and Trekking Permits of Nepal.
