Then reaching the arctic zone terrain at Mt. Dhaulagiri Base Camp, covered in moraine, ice, snow, and glaciers. A great adventure could lead to a sheer challenge in snow conditions, but overall one of the best wild countries. Where one can enjoy walks in tranquil surroundings from green forest to barren wilderness, enclosed by giant snow peaks.

An adventure away from human habitation and villages, on off the beaten trails far from the maddening crowd of civilization. The charm and beauty of Dhaulagiri Circuit trekking are dramatic changes in climate, vegetation, and landscapes.

As walk starts from low warm sub-tropical paddy fields and terraces reaching high cooler green hills. Reaching amidst deeply forested areas lined with tall rhododendron, oaks, and pine trees with grassy meadows. After continuing the trek leaving the last farm village of Bagar around the district of Mygdi.

The climb leads to a serene forest path, hardly used by the main flow of trekkers other than mountaineers for Mt. Dhaulagiri expeditions.

The trek leads through the lush green forest, and then vegetation and tree lines give away for mountainous terrain. On reaching glaciated field of ice and moraine around South West flank of massif Dhaulagiri Himalaya range.

The climb continues over a boulder of rocky moraine and ice, following the right path and routes on the glacial section. The walk finally leads to Dhaulagiri base camp, beneath Mt. Dhaulagiri and its massif flow of Ice-Fall and glaciers.

Spending overnight at the base camp, adventure follows to cross the highest point of the trek over French Pass. Then heading down to scenic Hidden Valley and onwards to Thapa / Dhampus pass. The high pass marks the transition between Mygdi and Mustang districts, and then downhill to Kaligandaki River valley.

Where our adventurous walks complete on reaching the charming village of Marpha and then to Jomsom. The headquarters town of Mustang district for last overnights around the high hills and valleys of Dhaulagiri range.

The next morning a swift short flight brings you to beautiful Pokhara. A renowned tourist city steeped with the natural beauty of Snow Mountains and lakes, a wonderful place to conclude our adventure. After a great mesmerizing experience on Dhaulagiri Circuit Trekking.

Extension activities in Pokhara

While in Pokhara, one can enjoy staying longer for some days to enjoy various adventure sports activities like paragliding, Ultra-Light flights, Zip-Flyer or relax and enjoy a tour around Pokhara at its natural wonders. A sacred Himalayan pilgrimage valley in the Gorkha district of Nepal, the Tsum Valley and Manaslu Trek is a hidden gem of Nepal that is a less-frequented trekking destination. Snugly situated against the backdrop of the Ganesh Himal (7422m), the Shringi Peak (7161m), and the Buddha Himal, the valley is home to ethnic Tibetan Buddhist people who have a distinct dialect, customs, and unique traditions that differ from the rest of the populace in the country. As such, the Tsum Valley and Manaslu Trek are some of the best long-distance off-the-beaten-paths treks that encapsulate the very best facets of both the hidden valley and the Manaslu circuit.

Likewise, the Tsum Valley with Manaslu trek presents a gorgeous landscape to enjoy. The valley is drained by the Shiar Khola, which originates from the western glacier of Ganesh Himal. The east and southern glaciers of the Shringi Peak also drain the Nyak Khola, which later forms a confluence with the Budi Gandaki River upstream. The trek involves a steep ascent of over 1,500 meters from the valley floor.

Likewise, the Tsum Valley and Manaslu trek also present an idiosyncratic cultural opulence to experience. It harbors many historical monasteries, including the Rachen Gumba and the Mu Gompa, nestled on a plateau within the valley’s lap. The valley also harbors the Gumba Lungden, situated at the base of a conical hill against the main slope of the Ganesh Himal.

Rich local cultural community

You will be trekking through the valley’s dense Blue Pine woodlands that cover the terrain like a chartreuse carpet. It is a marvelously beautiful and naturally endearing journey that is simply uplifting. Passing by many ethnic settlements, like Samagaon, Ghap, and Dharamsala among many, you will be in the company of the rich local cultural community and the mountain peaks that shadow the landscape in the most important spectacular of fashion.

Tsum Valley and Manaslu Trek is a completely beautiful journey that presents awe-inspiring landscapes and magnificent mountain views at each step of the way. Paired with the distinct cultural diaspora of the valley’s Tibetan Buddhist communities, the trip is an unforgettable adventure that presents the best attributes for you to experience.
